WHAT IS THERE TO DO AT THE READING FESTIVAL?
There is something for all ages to experience at the Southwest Florida Reading Festival. Everyone enjoys the multiple stages with the celebrity authors who share ‘inside scoop’ about their latest books or what makes a story idea click for them. You will be able to buy books and have the authors personalize and sign them too! Kids will be mesmerized by the storytellers.
There’s an abundance of family fun activities such as crafts, readings, drawings and so much more. Be sure to visit the local author marketplace and meet writers from the Florida Writers Association, Gulf Coast Writers Association and the Southwest Florida Fiction Writers. It’ll be a day you will thoroughly enjoy and one you will want to repeat every year!

Awesome Con is Washington DC’s Comic Con and is a star-studded celebration of geek culture, bringing together 75,000 fans of comics, movies, books, games, and more!

The Rainbow Book Fair is the largest LGBTQ+ book event in the US. It is totally unique—there is no other book fair quite like it. At the RBF, the people who write, read, publish, and sell our books are taken seriously, but with a lot of queer humor and love thrown in.

Mimi Francis will be signing copies of her new book, Taken by the Mobster, as well as having a conversation with Lily Hall, author of The Shoes at Barnes & Noble Chandler.
Authors and readers join together to celebrate diversity in romance writing and the authors who write these stories. This year’s event takes place at the Hampton Inn, Jacksonville, Florida, and includes a book signing on Saturday the 27th between 10 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Florida PolyCon is an annual student-run event that seeks to foster the community and geek-centric culture of the student body of Florida Polytechnic University and share it with the greater Florida area. Our focus is on building culture, student leadership, and fostering a loving and accepting community while building memories that will last a lifetime.
The event includes, but not limited to, cosplay, food trucks, games, panels and more. This event is a grand celebration of the geek culture, and all are welcome from anime otaku to dungeon masters.
