Samantha Powers’ dream wine country getaway turns deadly when she uncovers the secrets of a powerful winemaking family.

On her “Sea-to-Vine” press trip to Santa Barbara, travel writer Samantha Powers expects sunlit coastlines, hills filled with wineries, and a chance to explore the American Riviera for Carmel Today magazine.

When Sam learns her boyfriend, Maui detective Roger Kai, has an estranged friend in the area, she sets out to track him down—only to discover he died in a suspicious car accident six months earlier. Before she can dig deeper, Roger surprises her by joining the trip, and together they head to the Santa Ynez Valley, where his friend’s ties to one of the region’s oldest winemaking families begin to unravel.

As Sam peels back the layers, she finds a family determined to keep its secrets buried. When her search for answers leaves her hiding behind wine casks from a murderer, Sam realizes she may have finally pushed her luck too far.

Destination Santa Barbara is the fifth installment in the Destination Murder Mystery series, blending exotic locales, a behind-the-scenes look at the travel industry, and the twists and turns of a gripping mystery.

Release Day: The Stone Sentinel

We are excited to announce the release of The Stone Sentinel by Amanda Fasciano, the first book in The Silent Sentinels series!

The angels are guardians of paradise, the devils the guardians of the hells, and then there are the Sentinels.

The Sentinels are guardians of the realm of the living, seeking to keep mortals as free from supernatural influence as they can. They are immortal, moving through dimensions and time to keep the peace between the natural and supernatural worlds. They contend not only with demons and non-humans but also vampires, shifters, and even the gods themselves.

One of the best Sentinels, Roark Kearney, has earned himself the nickname “The Stone Sentinel.” Most who casually know him would think it’s because he seems like such an immovable object. A Gaelic warrior who fought in the Battle of Tara, he is one of the oldest of the Sentinels. But Julian, his “brother,” knows the truth. Over the centuries, Roark has disconnected himself from his emotions over a failure that happened a millennium ago.

Now, Roark and Julian have been given a job. A young woman is in danger and needs protection. The problem is that they have no idea what is hunting her. To make matters worse, this woman seems to have a way of breaking down the walls that Roark has spent centuries building.

Can Roark do his job from a distance to minimize the impact she has on him? Or will their proximity, and her identity, be a fire that will consume them both?

Release Day: The Saint of No Reason

We are excited to announce the release of The Saint of No Reason by Mark Atley, the seventh book in the Tulsa Underworld series!

Sometimes, people with money make foolish decisions.

Chandler Reilly’s silent business partner, Bill Ruth, is a loan shark determined to ruin Chandler’s business and seize everything not shared with Chandler’s soon-to-be ex-wife. Neither Chandler nor Bill wants their relationship to become public, especially not to divorce attorneys. When Chandler ends up in jail due to his wife’s unfolding plans, the loan shark hires Frank Campos to keep an eye on Chandler and ensure that he fulfills his obligations, meaning Bill gains complete control of Chandler’s business.

Ava Reilly has sacrificed everything for the sake of her family, including her dreams of helping Chandler realize his ambitions. Now, she is ready to claim what is rightfully hers. Tired of being pushed around and ignored, Ava must protect the life she has built for herself and her children, even as her husband’s shady business dealings and her sister’s reckless behavior threaten to upend it all. She is willing to do whatever it takes to survive, even if it means conspiring with her husband’s best friend or hiring someone to break into her husband’s house to achieve her goals.

In the past, Sierra Mayes relied on her older sister Ava to save her from trouble, even raising Sierra’s daughter as her own. But now, with Ava’s marriage falling apart—a situation for which Sierra feels responsible due to her succumbing to Chandler’s advances—Sierra wants to make amends and foster a stronger relationship with her sister and her biological daughter.
